Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics

This Graduate Certificate will introduce students to foundational programming, mathematical and statistical concepts which can be applied to large data sets to derive information to make high-level, data-driven decisions. The second term of this course includes a particular focus on marketing and social media applications of data analytic tools The flexibility and insights offered by a data analytics skillset can be used for data driven change and problem solving across many business sectors. Key learning outcomes include: Theoretical and technical knowledge of data analytic methods and tools. Analytical methods for extracting information and making decisions in a data-rich environment. The use of computer programming languages to generate data analytic algorithms. Understanding of the ethical, economic and social implications of data acquisition and use.
