Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws
The Bachelor of Economics will arm you with the integrated problem-solving and data analysis skills to tackle contemporary economic challenges. You’ll develop industry-relevant capabilities from day one through work-integrated learning that prepares you for diverse job prospects, such as consultant, policy analyst, economist, loans offer or risk analyst. And by combining the degree with a second in a high-demand field such as actuarial studies, applied finance, business analytics, commerce or law – or by pursuing a second major in a complementary or entirely different area – you’ll gain a powerful mix of skills and knowledge that broadens your expertise and enhances your career prospects. The Bachelor of Laws is built around real experience and genuine connection with industry. You’ll have opportunities to complete an internship for academic credit at a leading firm, including Allens, Ashurst, Clayton Utz or MinterEllison – a springboard many former students have leveraged to secure a permanent role – or gain client-facing experience at Wallumatta Legal, our not-for-profit family law firm dedicated to improving access to justice. You’ll be encouraged to further build your practical capabilities by working with our Social Justice and Strategic Litigation Clinics, and you’ll learn within a modern law precinct that facilitates collaboration with your peers and academics.
