Master of Creative Writing

Arts and humanities

Creative writing is the craft of shaping ideas, experiences and emotions into stories that move, inform and inspire. It sits at the heart of publishing, media, education and the arts, and its core skills – creativity, empathy, clarity and critical thinking – are valued across every professional field. Writers today engage with complex social and cultural questions, giving voice to new perspectives and strengthening our shared understanding of the world. The Master of Creative Writing is designed for writers who want to refine their craft, expand their creative range and engage with contemporary practice at an advanced level. Through intensive workshops, one-to-one mentorship and practice-based research, you’ll build a professional manuscript and a diverse portfolio across fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction. You’ll learn from prize-winning teachers, published authors, editors and literary professionals who bring both academic expertise and industry experience to the classroom. And you’ll explore publication pathways and residencies, while engaging with a supportive community that fosters your professional and creative development.
