Entry requirements
Requirements are recorded per intake year and per audience. Meeting them does not guarantee an offer.
A Bachelor’s Honours degree or Graduate Diploma in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC); as a fourth-year psychology qualification, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 6.0 in fourth-year psychology (equivalent to a distinction average (70%) at Monash University). The fourth-year qualification must have been completed within 10 years of the commencement date of the course for which admission is sought. Applicants with international qualifications must obtain an assessment from the Australian Psychological Society (APS), confirming that their qualifications are equivalent to Australian APAC-accredited qualifications. In addition, applicants must provide evidence of their suitability for work as a professional psychologist through: completion of a supplementary form and satisfactory referee reports (one academic and one professional); relevant voluntary or paid work experience; and if short listed, attend an interview. For detailed application information and to access the required forms visit the How to apply for a Psychology course page. Planning reference: missing 2027 requirements use the latest published requirements from 2026; newer explicit 2027 requirements take precedence.
