Its expected that the research you undertake will make a contribution to the discipline in which you are enrolled by applying, critiquing, analysing or interpreting that knowledge in ways that facilitate pathways for further learning including PhD candidates.

Entry requirements

Requirements are recorded per intake year and per audience. Meeting them does not guarantee an offer.

1. Monash graduate research entry is degree-specific. Doctoral entry normally requires a relevant four-year bachelor degree with a research component at honours H2A level, or a relevant master's with a substantial research component at H2A-equivalent standard. Research master's entry normally uses the corresponding H2B standard of 65 or above. Equivalent research qualifications and demonstrated research capacity may be assessed. 2. Relevant discipline and research component; H2A-equivalent standard for doctoral entry or H2B/65+ for research master's entry; faculty-specific criteria; English proficiency.
