The Graduate Diploma in Human and Community Services is retained as a nested exit qualification only and is not a direct-entry pathway into the Master of Social Work (Qualifying). Its academic requirements align with the master's course and include one of the following: • A bachelor's degree at AQF Level 7, or an overseas equivalent, containing at least eight units in social and behavioural sciences. Relevant fields may include sociology, psychology, community and welfare studies, history, media and communication, arts and humanities, law, geography, economics, policy and governance, education, anthropology, political science, ethnic and gender studies, development studies, counselling, philosophy, nursing and allied health sciences, public health, business, information science, management or leadership. • A Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services at AQF Level 8 from Sydney Met, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited Australian Higher Education Provider.
