Start your career in the sport and exercise industry with a course that focuses on prescribing exercise for health, wellness, and performance. The burden of chronic disease associated with inactivity and poor diet has created a niche for exercise professionals possessing strong knowledge of the biological, behavioural and social factors contributing to injury and illness. This course prepares you for a broad range of roles in community fitness and health, exercise and sport science, and postgraduate study and research by focusing on biological and behavioural sciences (physiology and psychology), anatomy and movement (kinesiology, biomechanics, and motor learning and control), exercise prescription (fitness systems, corrective exercise and advanced resistance training and conditioning), and the role of exercise in health and disease. Your skills will be refined through placement hours within our internal exercise clinical and our network of external placement providers.
