Diploma of Music in Jazz Performance
The Diploma of Music in Jazz Performance is our intensive one-year program providing the foundational theory, aural, and performance skills needed to kickstart your career as a jazz musician. As a nested qualification within the Bachelor program, it comprises the same curriculum as the first year of the Bachelor degree. Students spend the majority of class time playing their instrument, developing technique, knowledge of harmony, and skills in improvisation and performance. With JMI's signature small class sizes and one-on-one tuition, students receive personalised attention from Australia's finest jazz educators and performers.
