As datasets grow in scale and complexity, the field demands people who can handle diverse data sources, build reliable models and communicate insights clearly – capabilities that have become essential across business, tech, health, finance and government. The interdisciplinary Master of Data Science will build your expertise in computer science, statistics and mathematics, and offer extensive opportunities for practical application. You’ll study within our state-of-the-art computing precinct designed for experimentation and technical development, and refine your skills through an industry internship or supervised research project. With our location in the Connect Macquarie Park Innovation District – home to a dynamic mix of tech-driven organisations such as Domain Holdings, truuth and Orbyte – you’ll make connections with organisations looking for people who can translate complex data into insight that informs decisions.
