The Intensive Master of Clinical Embryology is internationally renowned as a training program for all assisted reproductive technologies (ART), producing high calibre embryologists. On completion of this course, you will have developed the specialised knowledge and practical skills needed to work in, and manage, human ART clinics. The course is offered both on-campus (one year full time) and off-campus (restricted entry, full or part-time) to domestic and international students. Your studies will include the foundations of mammalian embryology, detailed assessment of all infertility treatment strategies and the theoretical basis behind embryo production, embryo selection and cryopreservation, with a focus on all current and future technologies associated with ART. You will also study units dedicated to Total Quality Management, Preimplantation Diagnosis and Ethics. An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline in science or biomedical science and a one-year honours research degree (or equivalent) - second class or above; or An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and a Graduate Diploma of Reproductive Sciences from Monash University (or equivalent qualification from another institution approved by the faculty) with at least distinction (70%) average; An Australian Master’s with at least 60% average or PhD (or equivalent) in either science or biomedical science; An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline in medicine or veterinary medicine with WAM over 60%; An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least pass (50%) average and a minimum of one year of full-time work as an embryologist or andrologist or equivalent relevant professional skills-based experience.
