Monash Engineering research is rated well above world standard in the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia assessment. The faculty has a solid, robust profile in a broad range of engineering areas including the traditional, interdisciplinary and emerging fields. Researchers work in collaboration with the community, local and international industries, government bodies, cooperative research centres, consulting firms and research centres. Monash Engineering research is meeting the challenges of the future in areas such as bionic eye vision, nanotechnology, solar cells, aerodynamic testing, sustainable water, transport and advanced manufacturing, among many major research activities.
