This program will develop your skills and knowledge in urban design and urbanism with a strong emphasis on sustainability, quantification and implementation. Gain a multidisciplinary outlook with emphasis on communication and collaboration that emulates real-world practice. Professionals and graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning or similar areas will develop and extend their professional expertise; but we also welcome applicants from other disciplines. This course is ideal for graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture and Environments.

A successful applicant to the Graduate Certificate of Urban Design will have a undergraduate degree and/or relevant work experience. Credit for previous study For more information about the University’s credit policy, please see the Credit for Previous Studies page. Admission to this course requires: - a bachelor's degree; or - relevant work experience. Graduate Certificate students may apply to upgrade to the Diploma or Masters at the completion of their program (with an average mark of at least 65). Planning reference: missing 2027 requirements use the latest published requirements from 2026; newer explicit 2027 requirements take precedence.
