As a student of International Law, you will examine the international rules governing the world as a whole, led by our esteemed faculty. This course is designed for anyone wishing to consider international law in an interdisciplinary context with knowledge of international relations, security studies, politics and government integrated with knowledge of the legal structures and principles that underpin the international legal order.

Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to candidature for the Master of International Law requires: a) a bachelor's degree with a credit average (65 percent) from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification.; or b) a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; and the applicant provides evidence of two years of relevant professional experience. Admission to this degree requires: - a bachelor's degree with a credit average (65 percent) from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or - a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; and the applicant provides evidence of two years of relevant professional experience. Planning reference: missing 2027 requirements use the latest published requirements from 2026; newer explicit 2027 requirements take precedence.
