The Diploma of Media Production is your entry point into the world of storytelling, media, digital and content production. Designed to be hands-on and career-focused, it will build the foundational skills you can take straight into the workforce or use as a pathway into a bachelor’s degree. Aligned with today’s media landscape, this practical course explores a broad range of media and content disciplines. You will develop an understanding of media studies, learn the fundamentals of content creation, build practical skills in motion design, learn the ins and outs of professional media practice, and more.

  • Academic entry requirement

    1. Year 12 (Australian secondary school certificate) or equivalent OR Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR Work life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment. 2. Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent; Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma; Academic IELTS 6.0 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent; alternative entry requirements may be available. Alternative entry may include assessment and approval of prior study, or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
